Performing Arts Theatre Systems

Stage sound, monitoring and show control for a 600-seat proscenium theatre.

Performers silhouetted against a red theatre curtain

01 — The brief

The theatre hosts drama, classical music and dance. It needed a sound system that was transparent for acoustic performances yet capable of amplified productions, with flexible patching for visiting companies.

02 — Our solution

We designed a left-centre-right proscenium system with front fills, a networked stage patch with stage boxes at key positions, digital FOH and monitor consoles, and show playback integrated with the lighting control.

03 — Systems delivered

Audio

  • Proscenium LCR loudspeakers
  • Front and under-balcony fills
  • Stage monitor wedges

Stage

  • Networked stage boxes
  • Tie-lines to all positions
  • Wireless microphone system

Show control

  • Show playback
  • Lighting control interface
  • Paging and backstage audio

04 — Outcome

Resident and visiting crews work from a documented, consistent patch, and the house system has supported productions from solo recitals to full-scale musicals.
