01 — The brief
The existing hall suffered from poor speech intelligibility at the rear, a projection image too small for the room, and no way to record or stream lectures and convocations.
02 — Our solution
Following an acoustic survey, we designed a distributed loudspeaker system with delay zones, replaced the projector and screen with a correctly sized laser projection system, and added PTZ cameras, lecture capture and a simple touch-panel interface for faculty.
03 — Systems delivered
Audio
- Column array loudspeakers
- Delay zone fills
- Wireless and podium microphones
Video
- Laser projector and tensioned screen
- PTZ camera system
- Recording and streaming encoder
Control
- Faculty touch panel
- Presets for lecture, event and film
- Assistive listening loop
04 — Outcome
Installed within the semester break. Faculty operate the room without technical staff for everyday lectures, and events are now streamed to other campus buildings.
